2D software update
2D Software updates can be done in the following ways:
Search for software updates
Automatic search for software updates
By 2D Update File (.2DU-file)

Via this update functionality all 2D software applications can be updated!
Search for software updates
By clicking on Search for software updates it can be manually search if on 2D server an update is available.
Attention
Valid internet connection required!
Automatic search for software updates
It can be choosen if the software automatically searches for software updated on 2D server.
Attention
Valid internet connection required!
Update via 2DU file
If no valid internet connection is available, 2D update files (.2DU files) can be used to update the 2D software.
Via the following link the general 2D update file can be downloaded from 2D server:
https://2d-datarecording.com/en/downloads/update-files/allgemeine-update-files/
Important
The 2DU file from 2D server contains the same updates like the two previously shown update methods!
Important
For installation of 2DU files they can either be loaded via WinARace-Tab Help or directly dragged and dropped on opened WinARace application.
Customized 2DU file
2D is also able to create 2DU-file which are only updating defined files (CAL-Files, Plots, Templates, Software setting files, …) or complete folders (Users, …).
This is very helpful to quickly update various 2D software installations to same, costumized update level.
Update process
Important
No matter which ways of updating is choosen, the update process itself is always the same!
When update process is started the 2D Update wizard shows which contains all information which files/applications can be updated in update process now.
2D Update wizard
If the background of first column is colored green, the check box is not selected because the file/application from update is same version as already installed.
Important
If version from update is newer, the checkbox is preselected to update the file/application.
In first column, by checking the box it can be decided to force to update of this file/application.
If the background of first column is colored gray, the checkbox is selected because the file/application from update is newer then already installed one.
By clicking on Update the update of selected files/applications is executed.
Important
At update the user is might queried to close currently opened 2D applications.
